Thank god, I want them to avoid cliche points in time. Every Assassin's Creed game to date has done so, save for ACIII, which I will excuse because Connor's attitude toward freedom vs. slavery worked so well with the Revolution (in my opinion). Ninjas in an Assassin game would make me bang my head against the wall. I don't want it in Russia or the French Revolution either. In my opinion, we should go further back.

There have been murmurs of it being set in Russia. I don't know Russian history very well, so I'd be excited to learn.

Ninja assassins in assassins creed. How predictable. There is so much more than they can do with history that if they do ninja assassins I'll take it as they have run out of ideas.

Old West with a Chinese worker or a son/daughter of a Chinese worker/European Person. They go China to find their roots/some badass assassin thing. Next game is their Chinese grandparent, who as it turns out was trained by Japanese ninjas. That's how we follow the story back to Japan. You're welcome Ubisoft.

Oh well, if it was placed in Japan it would be my first assassins creed game I would have played but seeing how it won't be I'll pass not that it bothers me.
