What kind of artist do you consider yourself? Are you better drawing with imagination or from memory and senses? Could you be inspired by someone else's imagination or do you stick to your own? I ask because I often visualise really cool things that I'd like to draw, but I can't. So I write them instead, because I sure as hell can write. Would you be able to draw scenes and characters based on that writing?

 • I'm on mobile which doesn't allow me to quote so I'm going to try to answer that via memory of what I read I don't really have an artist title for myself. Though creatures are my strong point and mechs, environments, and plants being my weak points. The cool thing about artists that are good at drawing from their imagination is that they're using things that exist in real life. So it's braiding reality with fantasy. I prefer to create imaginary creatures and the like myself though. Working from memory and mind. Many times I use photo references for the idea I want. Much of my inspiration is jogged by other people. I can draw via descriptions of things if I'm interested in it and can formulate it well.
I'm going to be drawing for Tub for his novel
Some of my ideas were more environmental and character-focussed than too fantastical.
The cool thing about artists that are good at drawing from their imagination is that they're using things that exist in real life.
I ask because I often visualise really cool things that I'd like to draw, but I can't.
i know that feeling so whenever i write i think i go into too much detail about my vision of the environment it helps with atmosphere and connecting the reader on an emotional level but i think i do it waaaay too much and way too often.
not the case with you from what i've read omg you envision worlds and bring them to life so well tarty
Well, I can share if you want. Got one content complete fantasy novel, and a high school drama that I'm pretty happy with so far. Everything else is in various stages of completion or polish. I do remember you were looking at Hola 4 and Doctor Moo (maybe) at some point, so feel free to say no. :)

 • Well, I thought I had two, but The Broken Earth still needs a lot of work. In fact, I need to do at least another scene in The Prince. And I've also got a few chapters done of On a Knife Edge and like a scene of Unnamed Origin Story under my belt. The school drama, The Good Student, will likely take years to complete. And the fantasy novels are part of like a dozen-story saga. I hope I don't die soon.
