So what say you lot? I imagine, with a majority of us born and raised as MP gamers by the king of console arena shooters, that I'll get a majority vote on hate 'em. I hope I do. Else I'll be very disappointed.
Personally, I do indeed hate them: it's bad enough losing to another team (especially if I'm not having any fun in the game), but when they get toys (abilities, weapons, whatever) to give them an even greater advantage over me, that's just not fair, I'm going to get buttplundered even more.
But Tarty, I hear you cry, aren't you the very same Tartan 118 who likes ordnance drops in Halo 4? Yes, yes I am. Ummmm. Difference being, I'm familiar enough with Halo's sandbox to counter (or at least know how to) whatever toys the enemy is gifted. Whereas in -blam!-ing Call of Duty or whatever, you just get insta-powned by whatever bullets, bombs or dogs the enemy gets, with no chance to fight back. SHIELDS. Shields make the difference, I guess. I dunno.

Honestly I think only CoD 4 and WaW got it right (with the exception of dogs). Kill streaks are more of a CoD entity to me and don't belong in other games. If kill streaks are regulated then I'm okay with them, but if they become over the top like MW2 and onward I hate them.
