My ideal gun would probably be one that shoots in 3-round bursts like the Battle Rifle, but it would be cool if it could shoot elemental rounds, preferably electricity, so it could take out shields and disable some enemies. It would have a decent range, but would still be quite useful in a close-up situation. Drawbacks would be that if the target has no shields to begin with , it does less damage, and it would have little long-range capability.
