Hello my beautiful people. I have a particular problem with my external hard drive. I only use it when it comes video clips and editing files since i'm a film student. I have no problems with it when it comes to windows, i can import and export files without a problem. But when i try and use the hard drive on a mac, i can only export clips and not import.
Iv'e been told that it would work if the hard drive system is a exFAT, while mine is a NTFS. Is there a way to change the file system or will i have to get another hard drive that works with Windows and Mac. It's win/win anyway since the hard drive is a 1TB drive, all i need to do is just dismantle the plastic package and place in my PC then i'll have 3TB :D
Good advice will be rewarded with sex, warm milk and cookies.

NTFS and (ex)FAT are formatting standards, how the data is actually represented on the drive. You can reformat the drive to a different standard, but doing so would wipe any data on the drive, so you'd have to back it up first if you didn't want to lose it. To format the drive, right click on the drive in My Computer and select "Format..." There should be an option to select the type of formatting to use.
