If you(or yoko Ono for that matter) actually gave a half a shit about the well being of even a single person, you would realize that instead of doing anything gun related, the first step in the US would be reforming mental healthcare. The overwhelming majority of [i]preventable[/i] gun deaths are from people with serious mental health issues, like John Lennon's killer, or the newton shooter. The key to prevention is not removing a method of killing AND defending, but is in fact taking better care of the people who have psychological issues that would drive them to violence. If their issues were recognized, and they were given proper treatment and care, tragic mass shootings and other like incidents would sharply decline.
