According to the latest update, Shrikes can be called upon at anytime when you are in the wild. I'm wondering if it will be like a menu navigation or just a simple "double tap select" kinda thing. And keeping with the juicy details, it was also said that if you wear it, use it, travel on it, or fly with it you can upgrade it and make it bigger, badder, and all around better. This to me means upgrades to the shrike (weapons please!) along with the stuff we already expect, like upgrading armor and weapons. However, it will be an investment (I'm guessing pouring glimmer into your armor and weapons) and not just using them a lot.
