Just to clarify none of changes that the devs are toying with are final yet and there is no reason to agree or disagree with those changes at least until the beta. Anyways I'm not sure if there will be different gun types from the ones we've already heard of but I think that there will be enough weapons in the game to expand on the definitions of those types and what they can do. Plus don't forget that weapons will also have skill trees.
