I do not understand the point of these "raids."
Putin was right when he said taking Ukraine would be easy, Westerner's do not grasp the tactics of the greatest warlords in the world history.
The most recent raid was a disaster, you took more punishment than you dolled out, Putin took Crimea without firing a shot, you lost half of your "army," if one can call it that, to the moderators/UN.
Вы все идиоты и дураки
You must learn the way of the Putin, your fore-bearer, FOX NEWS, was the only westerner to ever truly understand, and he was half Russian to begin with. You must break the mould that you have set upon yourselves, lest you bring further shame to your small community of Flood.
-Natalia Poklonskaya, Attorney General of Crimea.
How to rise above this failure? Simply this: you must be subtle, a bear that walks in the forest at night is far more ferocious than one that charges into the cross-hairs of the moderators/UN during the daytime.

if the US actually wanted to wage a real war, we could easily obliterate any other nation. fortunately for mr. putin, we dont really feel like waging war right now

Russia annexing Crimea is a failure for Ukraine, not the West. Back in the good ol days there used to be these things called spheres of influence. The fact that the West is even concerned at all with Ukraine shows that Russia's sphere has completely disintegrated before our very eyes. An analysis of former Soviet states in Central Europe shows majority leaning EU, if not already in the organization. Yes Russia now has Crimea, but the gains are marginal (Russia can secure its Black Sea bases), but the negatives are significant: Russia is isolated and investors are dumping the ruble left and right. Those that are concerned about Russia's threat to NATO forget that NATO outspent Russia in defense 10:1 for FY 2013.
