I do not understand how so much anger can be made over Putin annexing what is rightfully his by democratic process, when millions suffer and tens of thousands of humans perish in Syria. The lives of 100 European protestors carry more weight than over 100,000 civilians harmed in the Syria crisis?
Over the past three years, more than 100,000 Syrians have lost their lives in the escalating conflict between forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and those opposed to his rule. The bloody internal conflict has destroyed whole neighbourhoods and forced more than nine million people from their homes.

Putin had the right idea, support the winning side and end the bloody conflict as fast as possible, but then the West stepped in and prolonged conflict.
How can you do these things?

I bump for the Motherland !

Just let the middle east keep destroying each other. They've been doing it non-stop for thousands of years. They're still in a holy war basically.
-
Well, they're two different situations and honestly one is just kind of bigger than the other. I think they both need to be solved and hopefully something will actually happen.
-
There are so many wrong things in your post but let me just ask: Since when did living in oppression become a better alternative to fighting for what you believe in? Half of me assumes you're American for the dumbed down post but the other half of me assumes you're not... for obvious reasons. P.S. Ukraine wasn't annexed democratically, Putin wasn't even elected democratically, but truth be told, I really don't care what happens to Ukraine.

Syria is old news, and is also kebab. We don't like kebab.
-
Who gives a shit about Syria
-
Because white people believe that if you're middle eastern or live in an uncivilised country, the value of your life is decreased drastically. No one cares when another hundred Syrians die, it's fine they're barley human.

What happened is what the US would do if a state tried to secede, we'd take it back. They took the Cremia which was rightfully there's and was where they had their navy and a large Russian population. But, they had to let the Ukraine break away or they would face more severe sanctions. It's tough luck for Russia, as they lose a major state of their federation. Ukraine was were all the natural gas pipelines go through and is a huge chunk of land and is a buffer zone

OP is just glad Senpai annexed her.

How about Russia invade Syria? Both sides in that civil war aren't exactly good.
-
I think it's just war fatigue, you would struggle to find any support in the west for another intervention and it's just cruel irony that one of the few times when it would have been justified/justifiable it doesn't happen. The other issue is Putin wouldn't have any western interference in Syria, he'd probably do something stupid, dangerous and russian about it.

Hi Natalia-chan what brings you to these parts of town? :p

Null...

Typical Western Racism Europe>Asia
-
Syria is a 3rd world backwater and both sides in the civil war are evil.
-
I can assure you that the West does care about Syria.
-
Ukraine is a civilized country and Syria is a Middle East shithole. Every man, woman, and child in Syria could die and the world would probably be better off for it. So of course the west is more interested in Ukraine.
-
Ban Syria.
-
For the record, there are plenty of worse things happening in the world besides the Syria mess.
-
Ukraine is more important to the west. It can tip the power between the West and the East. Imagine a EU Ukraine, or an NATO Ukraine. Right on the doorstep of the east. That is why it is so important
-
Theres a lot of bullshyt going on in the world. How about you and a select number of other worry about Syria while others worry about Ukraine while everyone else on Earth worries about another problem that they deem more important than the latter.
-
Zzzzzz

There is always something more important. If we lived by that, then nothing would get done.
