That is an entirely different challenge in itself. Probably even more time consuming that stop motion with all the resources available to you.
The meticulous nature of it and the sheer amount of patience required is immense. Even this was tricky to pull off. I took about 30 frames for this bit. Lost about half of them from derp. And created this short little clunky image. But if the end product turns out okay, then it's worth it.
What's really hard is, doing full body animations. The more movement and motion a body is going through, the more frames will be required, as well as having to keep track of every available area of the body and which way it is moving.
For this, I kept it simple. Capture the motion of the arm, the twist of the body, and the knockback. I can't imagine how complicated it becomes when you add an entire body moving.
