I went to the gym today at Planet Fitness and it was pizza day. Some overweight people went straight to the pizza, they didn't hesitate at all. A fat woman was chomping a slice down like she came only for the pizza and not to exercise.
Remember that this is a gym and not a restaurant, a gym that promotes weight loss. You would think that in a gym people would have some self control. Tell themselves "Ignore the pizza, I'm here to lose weight" But they don't, I think they are addicted to food.
What do you think?

Idea: scavenge their blubber to fuel 3 new Pirates of the Caribbean trilogies.
Remember that this is a gym
They literally say in their commercials that Planet Fitness isn't a gym.
It's a place for obese people to have crappy workouts and feel good about it.
Yes, there's no excuse. It's your own damn fault if you're a hambeast. Don't be sad though, there's a light at the end of the tunnel! YOU can do something about it! So when someone makes fun of you for your excess rolls, let that motivate you to lose them. It could be worse, you could have actual problems that you could never change like being an amputee, being a short guy, or some other unchangeable negative quality.

My answer, revised:(Don't wanna find my old one): 99% of people=Yes. People who have medical conditions: No.
-
Yes, it is. Fat people need to get the gym and start counting their calories.
-
Being obese is always a choice. Being fat is not. Some people can be at a healthy weight and look fat. I have seen it. I personally weighed 340lbs 6 years ago. I lost 140lbs in 10 months. I kept it all off for about 4 years, dropped down to 187 for a few years I am now back up to about 240, married and cannot exercise do to an injury. I damn well is a choice, I have chosen to pig out on food and get fat.
-
Excellent business strategy. It gets them a self replenishing source of customers and gets them to associate the place with that good feeling. (Food) 10/10 would be business magnate of.
-
IT IS MOST OFTEN THEIR FAULT. IF THEY ARENT TRYING THEN ITS THEIR FAULT.
-
I went to the gym today at Planet Fitness and it was pizza day
What kind of fitness place has "pizza day"? That seems counter-effective to me
-
Well duh its their fault. Of course they're addicted to food. An obese person is the equivalent of an alcoholic or junkie. Not overweight, mind you, but specifically obese.
-
Your first problem is you went to Planet Fitness.
-
Pizza day is the worst day of the week behind leg day.
Just kidding, if you don't like leg day you are homosex.
I saw a fat girl in a store once. I wanted to pork her until she began to cry because her mother wouldn't buy her a bar of chocolate.

Yes inb4advertising inb4muhgenetics

I'm pretty sure it is. Hell, I'm fat, but I'm working towards becoming healthy and losing weight.
-
Mostly yes. Although the accessibility to cheap and easy to make junk food is insane these days. In no way am I alleviating the responsibility of eating healthily by blaming it on the price of food, but it is certainly a significant contributory factor to obesity.
-
yes /thread
-
It is their fault. Their choices have lead them to this lifestyle, has it not?
-
Dude congress labeled pizza as a vegetable so it makes sense for a gym to give out vegetables.
-
YES!
Mostly.. A lot of them just consume too much food
-
A fat black woman
I don't see how her being black is relevant.
-
Look, I'm skinny as a rail, always have been. From my limited understanding, people love food. That's never going to change. It's really just a matter of making time for exercise and making an eating plan that works. In our busy 1st world lives, people get accustomed to worrying more about external problems like debt and work than internal problems like mental and physical health. Sometimes that weight gained is even a product of a food-based coping mechanism for an underlying mental health problem. That's why people stay obese.
