'Poor people join the military to die or get free college'
This has been going around FB, and I'm just speechless. It's such a remarkably stupid and insulting image that I can't even think of how to respond.
Do any of you actually think this is true? That the military is some kind of "hunger games" suicide job that will kick you to the curb with no experience or education worth more than a "shitty desk job"?

Edited by RIP delta: 4/9/2014 6:53:00 PMI was the most middle-class person in my training platoon. The rest were dirt poor. Then I left and now I'm £19,000 in debt with sweet -blam!- all to show for it, and they all have steady jobs :P
