My cousins house burned down

On Easter. It happened during Sun rise service. We were talking after the service when all of the sudden one of our uncles ran up to us and said "your house is on fire". so she went to the car to check it out(she lives about 13 miles or so from church) eventually i got a ride too from my parents. when we got there, there was nothing but flames and destruction, and all i could see was my cousin crying her heart out. I never seen her like that before. I gave her a hug and i swear it was like a death grip on me. Eventually my parents and i left. The reasons of the fire are currently unknown. And yes, i did wait a while to post this. So, the whole day i've been contemplating what i could do to help her. she's my age and we're really close. I know i should get her clothes and such, but i feel like there isn't much i can do. I'm just a teen. I don't have a job. And i have very little money of my own. I feel like emotional support is the only thing i can do. Their house insurance will cover for the expense of a house( they are wealthy). but their is no replacing the feeling of a home that they had. they lost everything. So, what do i do? or what CAN i do?

  • I once lost everything to a house flood. There's really nothing you can do. Make sure the right people are notified so they can provide assistance. You don't really have to provide anything, but maybe some candy or socks would be nice. Be there as a shoulder to cry on, that's one thing I didn't have. Just try not to mention and and keep her focused on other things.
