I think they'll leave the beta announcement for E3, could be wrong though.

They'll have to announce it at least a week before it's out, and mid june is too late for a proper beta.

Well if it's stable and can't find many errors then you don't need much time it all depends on the games state which we won't know till they release the beta anyway....
