I just adopted a new kitten yesterday. I didn't get much time with him yesterday because I had to go to work immediately after we got back from the shelter, but he was still awake when I got back (around 1:30 am). He's two months old and he's supposedly litter box trained but he just decided to piss all over my jacket when the litter box is right next to it. He avoids the litter box like it's the plague.
Anyways, AMA. Or help me on his pissing habits please.

Every 40 minutes or so, put the kitten in the litter box. Physically drop her in there. If she gets out, put her back. Do that several times hoping she will pee. Even if she pees once in the litter box, that doesn't mean you have succeeded. Do that for several weeks, until she constantly goes to the litter box to use the bathroom herself. Does she sleep in a cage at night right now, since she is so young?
