Bungie stated that the Hive is designed to "capture a feeling of undead royalty." Design themes for Hive include "mystery, darkness, evil, strength and militarism." Hive architecture generally is designed to have an "accentuated sense of scale, menace, and a hefty touch of the exotic without being too alien".
Those saying Floodians: Flood is all Halo. Why continue calling ourselves something relating to Halo when now it's all about Destiny?
Those saying Offtoites: You must be new here, all you know is #Offtopic. You know nothing of what we once were! I understand - you wanna feel in the groove by supporting this new name change.
Veterans saying they support Offtoites: The darkness has really gotten to you, what a shame.
Eventually I'd like to think that Bungie will be changing the board names. Like #Offtopic to Hive. They did it with Flood after all - the great ultimate evil. (Which the Hive is suppose to represent and even sounds similarly to the Flood. I feel the lack of Destiny knowledge is making you slowly turn and accept the current forums as being permanent. That this is it - the layout, names, rules and the persona of the community is forever going to be this *points to B.net*
Edit: Just like to say Flood has my support in this civil war. Offtopites is derpy as -blam!-.
