FFXIV Soon....SOON....
So I finally got Final Fantasy XIV and I'm almost done with this monster download. Are there any tips for a beginner, The Lodestone doesn't have much of a players guide other than basic controls and installing the game.

2 RepliesMostly just learn your role in dungeons and ask for tips if your new to a particular dungeon. Each has different strategies and traps. If one person doesn't know how to approach a particular situation its easy to wipe. Most of the people I've seen interact with newbies are pretty friendly. Occasionally you'll get a tank that just want to power through a speed run an tries to drag everyone with him. Fortunately I'm usually healer (dps que times suck) so they can't go far without me.

Do your hunting logs. Make sure to do story quests. Unless you're confident in your abilities as a tank or healer, roll DPS. Don't worry too much about your gear as a lowbie, you'll get it as you go.

I was going to get it for the PS4, but then I found out about the subscription fee. Screw that I'm using that towards a cellphone bill instead.
