I just finished my future warrior-esque camera system for my paintball gun! It's a project I've had designed and attempted to build a while ago, but didn't turn out right. With the Splatter Park Big Game going on this Sunday, I decided to un-box the parts and give it another go.
This time, it turned out great! I'm pretty happy with it. There are two cameras, one mounted on the end of my Tippmann A5 for look around ability. The second will be mounted to the mask and features a 10x monocular for zoom. It all wires to a 2" LCD attached to my mask. I'm pumped to use this! I tried to capture what it looks like through the mask. A bit dark... Here's another.
What do you think?
I'm out of time for the week, but in the future I am going to add lighting, since the gun camera is a low light functioning camera. I also want to get a microcontroller and develop and ammo counter.

>hasn't painted it it like MJOLNIR armour What are you, a scrub?

Very cool, I've always wanted to do this for airsoft. Unfortunately the look around corner thing is still considered "blind fire" at all the fields I play at, and they don't allow it.
-
Wow. That looks pretty cool. Can you go into battle with it?
-
hey. hey you. Pssst. OP. ever hear of a go pro?
-
wait so one's used for look around and the other is to get a better view by zooming?
