Always always always Practice by copying artistic nudes to better understand how the body connects all around. Don't work straight from your mind and expect it to look 100% or even 50% until you know the feeling of drawing it well. As for detail? It depends on what you're drawing but basically Everything has detail. Whether in colors, light, or "lines". There is no "white space". If you want something to be detailed then leave as little white as you can, but if there is a white section or color to your drawing shade it according to the material. Example being Light skin when shaded uses blue, greys, and reds.
