I arrived with one of my best friends as it opened at 10:00AM. We started off by systematically going up and down each booth before buying stuff. Lots of fun. (Softest hand I've ever shook too. It was a damn cushion) When I asked him about Destiny, he really wanted to tell me an answer, but after the agent said no, he was very genuine in telling me that he wanted to tell me. Ultimately, what I took away from this is, yes, he will be in Destiny. =)[/spoiler] The Bulky Creeper: [spoiler]So I'm walking down an aisle adjacent but perpendicular to the entrance, and I notice this MASSIVE green block the size of a pottaporty just slowly sliding across the floor. I realize it's a creeper and laugh while I watch the guy awkwardly slide the unwieldy wooden frame through the convention center.[/spoiler] Gory Chief: [spoiler]When I was in line for Nathan Fillion, I saw a super gory cosplay of Master Chief. I said, "Hey Chief, what happened!?" He responded back, "Bad respawn!" Helmet was cracked with part of it missing. Bone was sticking out of part of his arm, armor was falling apart, 3 Spiker rounds in the chest, and his other arm was literally the definition of a bloody pulp. Sort of disturbing actually.[/spoiler] Hardcore Porn at Comic Con: [spoiler]So in this one corner of the convention center is a cluster of booths that have softcore porn on display, no nudity, but still laughable. Anyway, my friend and I are checking out a booth on the opposite end. I'm looking at a bunch of DVDs with a collection of racist cartoons, and my friend says they actually have a soft porn movie here. I go over to him to check out what her found. He pulls it out of the box and flips it over. It was hardcore porn of some obscure celebrity from the 80s. My friend had a strong suspicion a lot of the videos at that booth were bootlegged too.[/spoiler] Darth "The Bro" Maul [spoiler]So my friend and I see an epic Darth Maul cosplay. He's also got a Sith entourage with him. My friend wants a picture so he goes over and asks him for one. Naturally, he sees my friend's "Join the Darkside" T-Shirt, and exclaims, "Awww duuude! Yeah!" in a gruff laid back bro voice. As he sets up for the picture, he changes his mind and says, "Wait! Get down so we can execute you!" And my friend proceeds to kneel down and get lightsabers pointed at his neck. So good.[/spoiler] Lastly, at the William Shatner Q&A Panel, he was asked to scream [url=http://youtu.be/wRnSnfiUI54]KHAN![/url] It was just as awesome as I'd hoped it'd be, albeit a bit shorter.
