Guess what? Video games are blamed again.

So you guys may or may not know that a 15 year old boy murdered a teacher in her classroom about a week ago. Well, reading the paper today, the media is blaming violent video games. Not only are they blaming video games for this but they are also indirectly blaming Achievement Hunter as, in one of the pictures of the murderer, he is wearing an Achievement Hunter shirt and I quote from the news paper "Achievement Hunter consists of six men playing violent video games such as Halo, Call of Duty, and Grand Theft Auto". I find it simply outrageous that Achievement Hunter can be indirectly blamed for this as all they do is play video games for a living. They can't help who watches their videos.

  • The media has always done this- Here is the method- They are given a story and find nothing new or anything that would make a controversial 'spicy' new story. It's an event that has happened a thousand times before. To make the story spicy, they take almost completely unrelated 'evidence' and warp and bend it until the information because so shocking and true that it becomes a fantastic news sensation. Then the public gobbles it up and believes all this information to be 100% true. Hence why we are hearing of it. Had the story just been - "boy kills teacher". They wouldn't have got anything near a media explosion.
