Seriously? It's just a dress. If anyone gets "impure thoughts" by seeing this young lady, the ones with "impure thoughts" are the problem.
The 17-year-old was asked to leave her homeschool prom in Richmond, Va., after a group of dads reportedly complained Ettinger's dress would cause boys there to have "impure thoughts." This was done even though Ettinger's dress met the required dress code for the dance.
But an upset Ettinger says it was the dads who were having impure thoughts, and she says they were "ogling" her before she was asked to leave.
She hit the nail on the head.

Edited by Captain Kwando: 1/2/2015 1:22:04 PMWait... What the fuck is a "home school prom"? (Excuse my canadian)

MURRIKA.

Gotta love "impure thoughts", right?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
That is the most tame dress I have ever seen. And the do realize that teenage boys always have impure thoughts. 24/7
-
What!? I don't even...*sigh* *facepalm* Why are people so dumb?
-
A group of married men with children were aroused by a young woman in a dress that meets the dress code and then made her leave because of it. This is bullshit an the worst part is this is the wood that help burns the fire that is feminism.
-
Really? These stupid dudes don't realize what dudes think about while they think about it.

Edited by physman: 5/14/2014 7:59:50 PMI'm not sure what type of prom this is, but my highschool prom was all about 'impure thoughts' lol, the grade 12's went there to do one thing: have fun and fool around, and then do more stupid things in the after party. Additionally, why are there parents there watching the guys and girls dance? Parents weren't allowed at my highschool prom and I know for a fact not a single student wanted parents there. Why are there parents at this prom? Something tells me this isn't a regular prom. With that said, if it wasn't a regular prom (by regular prom, I mean a day where grade 12's get wasted and do stupid things and just have fun) then she actually might have violated a dress code or went too far with the 'short' and tight dress.

HAIL SATAN. Oh my god Recon, you need to ensure images like that of dresses such as that stay hidden.
There are a lot of viewpoints I agree with in the world. I cannot stand conservatism that blatantly imposes sexist agendas upon young women, when they really have no ability to stick up for themselves if such a threat comes to effect them.
Isn't that what proms are for? Enticing dress and fun mood dances? Adult social events simplified for the young teenagers. Although the article said that they were attending homeschool prom...

Perverted asshats.

Impure dress? That little thing? Psh, I got you beat.

Edited by Erkyo: 1/2/2015 9:18:33 AMI'm a dad and, if my daughter wanted to wear a dress like that when she's older to go to prom I would approve of this dress. It's classy in my opinion and I see nothing wrong with it. Hopefully the young girl's parents took note of the "dads" that got her kicked out of her prom and, keeps her away from those people.
-
Wait, isn't that what a prom dress is supposed to do?
-
What.

Edited by Atomic Tea: 5/15/2014 2:52:05 AMWat. No, really, what is it about that dress that is impure? I'm not seeing it. I came in here expecting some miniskirt see-thru business but instead all I am seeing is a normal-ish dress.
-
Mostly, I'm just amazed "impure" is still an adjective used outside of softcore pornography video titles. Maybe that's where they got their inspiration? Oh, the rest of it is batshit crazy too.
-
Just because a girl is curvaceous doesn't give you the right to ban her from her her high-school completion reward: Prom. If her dress met the required standard, she shouldn't have been asked to leave. It's not her fault she has a nice body. Also, why the hell are there chaperones at a prom?

I read this and facepalmed. Sure, let's blame the woman who followed dress code for my boner.
-
It doesn't even look nice. It looks like a sleeveless surgical outfit with sparkles.
-
That dress does make her booty look nice (telling it like it is), but then again that's kinda what dresses do (shaping the figure underneath to accentuate elegance, grace, and beauty) unless it's one of those giant poofy Ballroom gowns. Still, what they did to her was way out of line, and I would question those dads.
-
The only thing that dress is guilty of is being hideous.
