Was it the pimp ass weekly updates? If so, who was the author of those when you started? Frankie, Lukems, Urk, Deej, ect.
Was it the forums? Who do you remember? I'm talking some legit long term member...like Obi Wan Stevobi, Impurity, BerserkerBarage (BB), or Anton P Nym?
Do you remember some groups that were the foundation of what groups are now? Marty's Army? Bungie Jumpers? The Frozen Minority? Thee Warriors?

I lurked around for Marathon stuff and remembered Jason Jones' vidmaster videos. I joined officially back in '09 or '12 I think. I loved when Urk wrote but DeeJ has grown on me...like a zit that you don't want to pop ;P I lurk now, ready to open my crusty eyes and look upon the fresh community members and Destiny with a curiosity of one that has grizzlness
