How much faith do you have in humanity as a whole to be able to expand and secure its survival outside of our home planet by colonising other worlds?
Do you believe water/food crises, uncontrollable population growth, environmental destruction, war, corruption, religious fanaticism, ecomonic deterioration, disease, climate change, cataclysmic weather and humanity's massive and insatiable appetite for resource consumption will ensure humanity never gets to develop the technology and ability to colonise other worlds and doom us to die here on Earth?

We started out as primitive nomads that hunted for their food with stone tools, and lived in caves. And within a less than a few dozen Millennia we've built giant structures that rise above the clouds, Planes made of metal that fly with ease, and electronic devices that enable us to talk to people across the world in real time. Every innovation and discovery that we've made, every feat that humanity has achieved were done so in times of violence, disease, and political strife. A simple glance at our history shows that we as a species are capable of doing great things despite our own flaws; I doubt we're doomed to die out on this little rock of ours.
