Todd Howard says this from 1:05-1:30:
"We're working on something have been for a while and it's gonna be a little while before we talk about it, because we want to surprise everybody. You know make that moment where we talk about it special for everybody we're still tinkering. The stuff we're able to do now on the PC and next gen, all that memory, we're very excited about the opportunities."
This interview took place on the 16th of May 2014 at the Deutscher Computerspielpreis 2014.

As long as Fallout 4 is more like NV than 3, I'm happy.
-
Or *gasp* it could be a new IP... Instead of the same franchises over and over again.

Edited by Derp: 5/20/2014 5:08:56 AM
it's gonna be a little while before we talk about it
When a company says this, it does not mean anytime soon. I would guess, whatever it is, will be announced at the end of this year. Just like Skyim was.
-
For people to stop talking about it... at least until an announcement
-
For the love of god please no multiplayer.
-
Guns that scale through the entire game. So that some weapons aren't completely useless at the end game. Also more interactive options with npcs.
-
Hopefully the story doesn't have all the plot holes like F3 had.

Edited by MiloOmega: 5/19/2014 9:10:38 PMHmm, maybe online invasions? Like you take on contracts to kill other players. Edit: Maybe not. The only reason I suggest this is because I remember being hunted by various groups while playing Fallout 3, and I think it may be interesting to have players replace the hit squads. But then, that can go horribly wrong

I don't think mp would be a good idea, Fallout is more of a sp based game and I think Bethesda spending there time trying to get mp right could make them spend less time on sp which could make it feel unfinished, but coop could be awesome if they get it right.
-
Multiplayer, every game needs multiplayer just throw it in there for the hell of it.
-
Fewer bugs.

I don't think multiplayer would be a good idea in fallout. Everyone would be using stealth boys, stealth armor, and the AMR
-
Co-op story mode.
