Haven't spoken to him in four years after he beat up my brother while on vacation and now he lives somewhere in Ukraine I think

Went 5 years without seeing him or speaking to him between the ages 13-18. Been seeing him for 5 months now a handful of times, it's still a bit awkward. Recently learnt my grandma, his mum, has terminal lung cancer. I kept in contact with her even though I didn't see him, my Dad hasn't seen her in 4 years after a big argument. Now he's feeling a ton of regret since she only has a few months to live, he's seeing her tomorrow for the first time. Family's are -blam!-ing complicated.

I could say i dont know him. I remember seeing him 2 times, so hes just another person to me. As for my stepfather, hes just another person too. Ive never had a father and im fine with it.
