The last 3 options are obviously not meant to be chose, but do so if you'd like. Serious question. What are your feelings on the rule of the passing lanes on Highways? Each state is different, so please understand your own state before posting, but in VA, slower traffic is to keep to the right, meaning if you are going 10 over the speed limit, but the guy behind you is weaving in and out of traffic and going 20 over, you must let him pass on the left, otherwise you are breaking the law (as is he obviously, but the cop could pull you over if he wanted to). Yes, both you and the person behind you are breaking the law for going over the speed limit, but as we all know, cops are much more lenient on the highway and as long as the flow of traffic allows it, you can get away with going 10, or even 15 over the speed limit in certain situations. Now, I'm not saying you should stay in the left lane and hold your ground no matter what, that is an asshole thing to do. However, if you see a long line of traffic on the right (with only 4-5 lengths between each one) you should not have to slow down to let the guy behind you pass. The law says differently, but does that really make it right? No, I have not gotten a ticket on the highway (ever, for anything) but I want to see where you all stand on this topic.

  • Keep right, pass left is basically PA's law. This doesn't work on the interstate though, because New Jersey and New York drivers will just go the whole way up I-78 in the left lane at 65mph and never get over where they belong.
