Hinduism is more about reincarnation, and is considered the oldest religion in the world. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam borrowed ideas from Hinduism when it comes to reincarnation, and the very basic idea of duality from Zoroastrianism. Christianity also borrowed a lot of rituals from Paganism.
Hinduism is more of a... complicated religion to say the least. Buddhism is technically a sect of Hinduism, but not at the same time. That's why I said it's complicated. Buddhism shares some ideas with Hinduism, but they aren't the exact same. If we compared Buddhism and Hinduism together, there are a lot of discrepancies, but overall, the very, very base of the religions are similar. (e.g. Karma, nature, not being a dick to others, etc.)
