[SOLVED] Account-Linking Issues
I'm having trouble with linking my Xbox LIVE account to my Bungie account. When I click "Link with Microsoft account," which looks like [url=https://www.dropbox.com/s/022byh1allgti0w/Screenshot%202014-05-27%2019.00.57.png]this[/url], I'm told that my account is actively in use, which isn't true, and that it must be unlinked before I can use it on this account, which looks like [url=https://www.dropbox.com/s/ttieb3v61z0u3zl/Screenshot%202014-05-27%2019.01.30.png]this[/url]. If it was already in use, then I should be able to sign in to Bungie.net with it, so I went and tried. Upon entering my Microsoft Account credentials, I'm told "Welcome to Bungie.net Account Creation," proving that my account isn't actively in use, which can be seen [url=https://www.dropbox.com/s/kzt416aefz4qtm7/Screenshot%202014-05-27%2019.01.59.png]here[/url]. I've gone through this process multiple times and receive the same results. Please assist me with linking my Microsoft Account with my Bungie.net account.

2 RepliesSo good news, since you have access to the Microsoft account you are trying to link you will be able to unlink it. All you have to do is proceed to that account creation process you are promted to complete. Once you have made the account just go to its profile settings, link a Facebook, PSN, or G+ (it can be a throwaway account) and then you should be able to unlink the microsoft account. If you have successfully done this all you will have to do is log into your primary account and link the desired Microsoft account. 1 ReplyOne of the more annoying nuances of account linking / unlinking is that if you try to log in with an unused authentication method at any time, Bungie.net associates it with a Bungie.net profile whether you complete the profile creation process or not. You'll need to finish creating the new Bungie.net profile and follow the steps in [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Post?id=64336042&groupId=18405]this guide[/url] in order to resolve your problem.
