I remember reading an article a little while
ago about Microsoft making efforts to create a higher focus on PC as well as their two currently supported consoles. What do you think about this decision, from a hypothetical and fiscal standpoint? It's a trade-off; while releasing a game like Halo to PC would bring in what would amount to be literal tons of money, it would also decrease the incentive to buy their own console.
I personally think Microsoft should branch out certain franchises to PC. While it may decrease hardware sales, the margin of people that both own a high end PC and plan to buy a next-gen console are slim enough that the software profit would offset any and all other investments. Not to mention that making it only playable on Windows would increase general sales of all Microsoft products.

Edited by Bistromathics: 5/29/2014 11:46:11 PMIt would be great for gamers to have Xbox exclusives on PC, but that kind of defeats the purpose of an exclusive. Microsoft has said they're going to pay more attention to PC many times in the past, and it hasn't really resulted in much. As far as this latest statement goes, they hired the man behind Steam to work on Windows gaming... and he promptly left 6 months later.
