After being dead for many years, I have decided to resurrect Halo2.US, the last Halo 2 community dedicated to online multiplayer. We are a small and growing community that plays Halo 2 online using either Xlink Kai or XBConnect. Simply load the program onto your computer and your networked Xbox or 360 can play Halo 2 in all it's multiplayer glory.
We already have one US-based fiber-fed online server to connect to. A second server will be in place in the next few weeks. The point is to provide a stable gaming environment that is more readily accessible to North American and European gamers. Right now the only alternative is to play games on the Latin American servers, often resulting in >200ms ping times making competitive Halo impossible.
The eventual goal, which is the most exciting, is to have a couple of servers running multiplayer AI (artificial -intelligence) bots that will patrol the map and return fire. In this alternative, players can connect within the US, Canada, or Europe and enjoy a lagfree game of slayer with bots and human players alike. This ensures that even if no one is online, a single player can still enjoy him/herself in what is one of the greatest FPS titles ever made.
We're not dwelling in the past, we're just enjoying what's real. :)
