So I was rewatching the Strike video and stumbled upon what I think are ammo drops. Not sure if anyone (YouTuber or otherwise) has discussed it, but I took a screenshot just in case. Take a look.

The purple things are ammo drops. The green ball things ate encrypted engrams and the white ball things are actual items that u can use immediately
-
Pfft! i'm just happy to see Forky on the left...Forklift confirmed for Destiny!
-
All correct I believe. Nice spot! Too rows the last day for the alpha!!! Sadness

No, USplendid
-
USplendid, you magnificent bastard you! Excellent eye!

The glowing blue orbs power up your super and possibly other abilities, although I'm sure someone has already said this.
-
Okay so the dodos (dodecahedrons) are loot drops in the form of Engrams of varying rarity (Green to Purple to Gold), the wallet/ammo-clip-looking thingys are ammo drops (white = Primary, green = Special, purple = Heavy) & the glowy blue spheres are Orbs of Light. Does that about sum it up?
-
I love the interface for this game so much.
-
I think datto covered it
-
I believe top left is charges for your super.
-
Sometimes you're better than Destiny Updates and Moreconsole lol
-
Yeah, i noticed it too.
-
Do we know how glimmer drops? Or if it drops at all?

Edited by Nere: 6/4/2014 8:08:34 PMUsplendid, I think that the crystal like "loot drop" is the currency. I've seen it in another video (which name I can't remember), so that's something to think about. Edit: There are only two things on those pictures. 1) Currency(I think), the "encrypted thing is the same as the "loot drop" 2) Ammo, which would make sense, I guess. The orb of light is the same as the currency one.

Why haven't they made you a mod yet? I feel like you meet most, if not all, the criteria. Completely outside of you being the walking Destiny wikipedia, you have all the makings for a ninja. You've even had a community focus on your resume. Bungie, promote this man.

Saw it immediately I watched the vid
-
I believe the blue drops will be 'glimmer' or the currency used Destiny. Thoughts?

I'm curious as to whether or not with all the colorful explosions and spells going off along with switching between 1st and 3rd person views we will be able to keep track off all the shiny stuff on the floor. Hopefully at the end of a strike your newly acquired loot will be sorted separately to make organization easier.
-
We've seen ammo drops in the E3 gameplay last year. After Rixis is defeated you can see the metallic ammo boxes scatter on the floor. I'm guessing that they've updated the models since then though, now that we know that ammo is colour coded.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 6/4/2014 1:57:32 PM^^^ Urk confirmed on reddit that the different colored "engram?" in question is in fact (in actuality) a different color/tier of loot than the blue one.
-
Also at 5:25 in the vid there is a green loot drop same shape as the others
-
So do we need a special Perk (Black Ops 2 style) to pick up ammo drops or will they be available to all ... and does it have to match your weapon selection? (did ask in the "weekly update" list but only got the usual vague/cryptic answer)
-
Looks like blue tofu to me, at least humanity has figured out some use for it.
-
Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 6/4/2014 12:47:31 AMThe purple boxes to either side of the blue loot drop is clearly eridium. Good job as always USplendid!
-
Well done. Keep bring that information!
-
i think that the orb in the right top corner is a loot drop cause you have different types of armor and guns blue for basic, green for commen, purple for superior and gold for exotic... so this might be a gold loot drop...
