So I was thinking about how when Halo was the top dog games would come out every few years. They had so much replayability that gamers didn't mind waiting. The anticipation even built the hype of the game.
Now Bungie has been off the scheme for a little bit and looking to have lightning strike twice.
Industry-leading games like COD, Assassins Creed, and Battlefield have been releasing every year. These are the games that people are flocking to by the millions. Not to say that other, less frequently released games don't have their time in the spotlight (ie GTA), but how definitely the most consistent attention goes to those franchises.
How will destiny stand up against these other franchises when their game only releases every few years? Will the potential short attention span of newer gamers let Destiny fall by the side after a couple CODs come out? Or will the gap in time actually help Destiny and once again build that anticipation, leaving behind great replayability?

Go and look at Activision's results and statements. Destiny has made them a good amount of money. I this k it will be just fine.
