As far as free roam goes how big is it? Is it like a Borderlands kind of free roam or is it like Skyrim in terms of free roam?

More like Borderlands. You basically walk around all of Old Russia and do various Patrol missions and Public Events as they come along. Definitely very fun to play with friends. Patrol missions are a good way to get money and faction reputation. There could be more free roam content in the actual game though! Also, the area is [i]huge[/i].
