I think the weapon customization gets more extensive at a higher level, but it was pretty basic at our level. We capped out at level 8. I wasn't able to modify my weapon's appearance at all, but that could change in the full game. We were also not able to customize our Ghost in the Alpha, but I'm almost positive you can earn new ones in the real game.
