Would an Elite drown if they submerged their head under water? 'Cos I mean they can't really seal their mouths shut water tight, and their throat is just sort of open at the back, with nothing to stop water gushing down it.

That's... actually a good question. I think it's comparable to our anatomy where if you just hold your mouth open underwater, it doesn't just pour into your lungs or stomach.
