When Bungie originally made CE, was Johnson planned to be put in Halo 2? Its confusing to some as they see him die in the Legendary ending.
Also: How are the gravemind's tentacles present on the Ark when he was on Delta Halo at the time?

When Bungie originally made CE, there weren't any plans for a Halo 2. Halo was planned to be a one-time thing, Bungie was going to move onto a fantasy game afterwards (which is what Destiny is largely based off). A) The CE ending is non canon. First Strike explains how he survives. However, Bungie had stated they never originally planned to make a Halo 2 at all. B) Gravemind was on High Charity, not Delta. However, it doesn't explain how he got from HC to the Citadel so quickly. Blame Bungie storytelling.
