No Dropping Items/Trading with Fireteam or Others?
Am I just crazy, or is there not way, currently, to drop or trade items for your Fireteam? If not, there should be a way to do so in-world and a maybe a trading area etc. in the Tower.
Many times during the Alpha I found weapons that did much better damage than the weapons that my friends had so I wanted to give them one of the better ones that I had found, but there is no way to do so, that we could see.

6 RepliesYou run into the problem of gaining exotics too easy. Bungie wants you to go "OMG the dude cleared the hardest raid in the game and got xxxx gun!" Not just let your friends hold your hand to greatness. Kind of like borderlands did

Bungee said they plan to add player-player trading after they get a sense of the economy, so sometime post-launch.

As much as I would like to see trading, leaving it out is probably the only way to stop duping.

Being honest I like the idea of trading items, but at the same time remain against it. Reasoning: People at higher levels will begin [b]Farming[/b] for loot drops in order to give [b]Rare/Legendary Weapons[/b] to themselves or other players. Somewhat kills the exclusivity and challenge of what makes these weapons and armor so special. Otherwise players will be starting [b]New Characters[/b] already owning some of the [b]Best Gear[/b] waiting for them once they meet the level requirements. IMO that kills both the experience of players and balance of the game. Bungie seems very much for character investment and progression.
