I know, I know, you love the books. Screw Disney, all that. But there was a [i]lot[/i] of dumb stuff in the Star Wars EU that frankly needs to be overwritten and forgotten. If you loved it, awesome. You'll always have that story. But tying new things to established EU lore would've been a massive mistake.
