User [i]passwordiztaco7[/i] made a good question by asking iwhy there were no assassinations in Destiny. I think that they are a must. They can add lots of fun to the game.

- It looks frigging awesome. I love sneaking up on people in BF4 and stabbing them and picturing the shock on their face. (I'm not a psychopath I swear)
- It adds uniqueness to PvP

- There is not much stealth in Destiny, so you wouldn't end up using it much.
I think just like splitscreen, it should just be an option. It shouldn't be a huge part of the game, it should just be there to have just in case.
[b][i]P.S:[/i][/b] I think each class should have 2 unique assassinations.

Not sure how that would fit into the game only after playing the alpha. Will have to wait and see, but more options are never a bad idea.

I think a quick first person animation would be nice, but only if you are behind them and have not yet been seen.

The Crucible is supposed to be a competitive arena. Assassinations are purely cosmetic, in which adding a cosmetic activity that takes more [i]time to kill[/i] is counterproductive to the ultimate goal of slaying/surviving. They have no place in the Crucible. In the PvE setting, meh, who cares...

I'll refer to the Golden Gun once more: every enemy shots you or runs up to stab you. The Golden Gun's animation has gotten people killed in PvP as well. By the time you're done killing with your assassination, you're dead as every enemy turns to you the instant you get in range of them. There's also the case that you'd need to make assassinations specific to who you are killing. Hive Thrall for example don't hesitate in attacking you and with Wizards, you'd have to leap up to perform it. Cabal being so massive and heavily suited would also require jumping up to get on their shoulders and even then the others will shot you a new a-hole. Vex are drone machines and when one picks up on you, they all do. Fallen may be the easiest, but again, they often run away to take cover and take fire along with them often charging at you paired with swords. In PvP, the animation time would get you killed as the maps have many routes and most of the time, no Guardian is by them-self as one is usually about and find you after you kill one. The Golden Gun when you use it has to be raised which has gotten people killed. In short, it is not needed and wouldn't get much use since every enemy seems to have you on their radar.

I like your idea about unique assassinations. I think it would be cool if the Titan had one where he comes from behind and picks the enemy up by the head and crushes their skull.

They just look really cool. I feel kinda weird when I'm knifing things from behind and nothing happens

Titan could snap enemies backs, Warlock could vanquish the enemy with a point blank range nova bomb, Hunters could shoot a gold gun into enemies throats lol my preferable assassinations...using their supers...

I think there should be unique kill animations, but not necessarily called assassinations.

Assassinations yes! Splitscreen,naw because it uses extra power from console to support split screeners that could be used for enhancing my individual experience.
