I fell in love with these chords a couple months back and decided to try my hand at writing some music with them. This is the first verse and chorus. I'm working on an intro, have a couple other verses, and a breakdown.
My singing is very bad, I know. First of all, I half assed it since my family is here and don't want them to hear me. Secondly, I just suck, I only sang so you guys can get a feel of how the lyrics are incorporated with the chords.
I'll put the lyrics here:
Verse 1:
I never meant to do this to you
I never meant to leave a stained stare on your face
I whispered lies and promised bliss,
Healed your sore and tattered wrists
Then what I gave was sorely missed
It's remnants in the palm of your fist
Chorus:
I'm sorry I wouldn't listen
I'm sorry I didn't see
My ignorance wasn't forgotten
Now it's my turn to feel
What it was like
What it was like x2
Feel free to give me feedback, or insult me for sucking at singing, it's all valuable feedback.

That was actually really good. I'm sure if your voice was a bit louder, it'd be perfect OP. 9/10. Great job.

You play the guitar well but your voice, I can't really hear it.

What are the chords?

Maybe sing in a lower octave? It seems like you were singing in an uncomfortable range. For example, you sound like a baritone or bass trying to sing higher second tenor notes. Sing where it is comfortable and use your stomach to breathe in the air rather than your chest, and take strong quick breaths and don't sing on the same breath for too long.

I genuinely enjoyed that Good job m8 You just need more confidence and project your voice It was great
-
LMAO Stick to what you're good at kid.
-
Your voice needs more improvement, but other than that it's pretty swell.
-
1. better mic. 2. Balance your audio, use an amp/garage band to record the guitar while you play, and remove the guitar in post from the mic track. 3. your voice is a little whiny, and needs some work, try just singing random songs for an hour (disney songs generally give your voice a good workout, trust me.)
