After today, all groups have finished playing, and we have the winners for the groups. Which means we have the next set of matches set up. This is the knockout round, so if you lose, you are out. Games will go into overtime and a shootout if necessary. Match 1: Brazil vs Chile My prediction, Brazil wins. Neymar has been doing fantastic and is tied for the Golden Boot, but they Brazil is full of world class players. Watch out for Chile though, as they had a great campaign, and could pull an upset. Match 2: Colombia vs Uruguay My prediction, Colombia wins. Luis Suarez is now banned from the rest of the tournament, and much like Portugal, Uruguay is a one man team. Without him, they won't go far even if they win. Match 3: France vs Nigeria My prediction, France by 2 goals. Benzema is on fire. France has been on fire. Nigeria isn't a horrible team, but not enough to beat France. Match 4: Germany vs Algeria My prediction, Germany. Not only is Muller on fire and tied for the Golden Boot, but with players like Goetze, Klose, and the others, this team is my favorite to win. This is the first time ever Algeria is in the knockout round, i expect it to be over quickly. Match 5: Netherlands vs Mexico My prediction, Netherlands. Mexico has surprised many with what they did, and will put up a good fight. But Ochoa can't save them from the flying dutchman RVP. And it isn't just RVP they have to worry about, but also Robben. Match 6: Costa Rica vs Greece My prediction, Costa Rica. Most likely the most surprising part of the tournament was Costa Rica topping Italy and Uruguay to finish atop there group. Joel Campbell will try to lead his team even more, and have a good chance against Greece. Match 7: Argentina vs Switzerland My prediction, Argentina. Even though Argentina hasn't lived up to the expectations (beating Iran 1-0 in the last minutes of the game), and haven't faced any real competition in the World Cup so far, but i think they can beat Switzerland. But Switzerland could still easily win. Match 8 Belgium vs USA My prediction, USA. Yes i know, "USA sucks, they can't beat anyone". That what everyone said against Ghana and Portugal too. Belgium has yet to play anybody in the World Cup, as they had Russia, Korea, and Algeria in there group. Hazard is not a concern, as the USA has already dealt with Muller, Klose, Ronaldo, and Gyua.
