So I was thinking of making a game for iOS and Android, using the accelerometer. The level setup would be similar to something like Jetpack Joyride, but with completely different controls: you would hold your phone vertically and tilt it to move left and right to move the player at the bottom of the screen.
Concept: you would be an astronaut with rocket-propelled boots lifting you off into space, where you would be dodging asteroids, shooting stars, space junk, and other space-related obstacles. The goal is to survive as long as possible, and you would collect powerups and other things along the way.
I've made a game similar to this in AS3, using the Starling game engine, and am thinking of either using that, or writing it in C# with Unity (which I've never used for mobile development). I have an iPhone 4 and some random Droid to test it on.
My only obstacle is artwork. I'm not the most talented artist: I do some rookie 3D modeling that I've taught myself, but I'm not really an animator, and I would rather the design be cartoony. I don't suppose anyone on B.net would be interested in a collaboration.
