I just thought it was a funny statement. I completely agree btw. I chased PC gaming for a while and, in my experience I would say over several years they're basically equivalent cost wise if you're looking to get a comparable graphics/gameplay experience. As soon as you start trying to own multiple consoles or try to up the graphics is where the scales drastically start to tip. In the end you have to be an informed enough consumer to understand what you want out of gaming and pick accordingly. Me personally: I was only going to buy 1 system and wanted to open a box, work through a few UI, and basically never have to worry about hardware/software again (baring malfunctions) for 8 years. I didn't want to deal with chasing drivers to make sure games functioned correctly, didn't want to calculate where on the system reqs/recs/max my system fell for every given game, and I didnt want to have to worry about viruses, malware, spyware, firewalls, etc etc in order to play a game. Also my current gaming tv has a max res of 720p. $400 accomplished all of that at a hell of a bargain. Everyone's mileage varies, but it never seems to amaze me that the majority of vocal console gamers appears to only care about graphics and that PC gamers want to compare console and PC gaming as if they didn't pay for their privilege.
