The sum of his statement was either you can start from scratch and spend $600 to have something better than a PS4 or you can upgrade an already good system to great (ie 4k) for ~$500 more dollars. The point of my statement was that I certainly hope if you spend 150% the cost of a PS4 then you come out at least 150% better performance wise. You get what you pay for, and it's up to each gamer to decide what they want to pay for.
