Ok, so am I just the only guy who saw this stat (that uses this forum) and is curious? .. no one knows exactly what it is.. but we know it can go over 10 (so it's not a 1-10 scale) the highest someone claimed was around 15 I think. I's everyone just stuck on debating K/D ratio? which from what I saw in the alpha wasn't accumulated on your profile from all of your matches? Is this Bungie's way of trying to draw the excessive focus on k/d to a more comprehensive rating scale? thoughts.. anyone? Bueller?

I think it is how much damage you average on an enemy before he heals, if he heals some then that damage is subtracted from your combat score, but if you kill them or an ally kills him or basically he dies then it stays in your combat score. Just sating since i average 80-170.

Honestly been trying to figure this out for a while know but I can't seem to find anything about it, My overall is 71 but my trials and elimination is 332

Im also really confused...im an overall really good crucible player, but recently i havent been doing my greatest. my overall is like 111. something.
-
I get around 20 kills a game and I'm only at 100. Does this gather data from all of your characters because my brothers use hunter and warlock and are shit at crucible.
-
My combat rating in zone control is 567.23 is that good ?
-
Mine has gone to crap since I've started leaving the matches where I enter in and the enemy already has heavy special and super. I've started doing so because these match beginnings have become the norm.

Edited by Klerky: 11/5/2015 2:39:44 AMI'm a Trials of Osiris player, and mines is at 276.79 I'm not sure how its generated but i'm assuming that 450 is around the top if I'm at 276.79

My understanding about combat rating, is it rates you based on your score/match when compared to each individuals (meaning your teammates) score/match... Granted, I'm not claiming to know how the math works, but if you consistantly score in the top 3 of your matchs, your combat rating will be over 100+... I'll admit I still sctratch my head over this...

I was wondering what it meant as well. I am sitting at 133.09 and want to know what it is for...

Problem with kd is, you can go into a game and snipe, go 5 and 0 (5kd) or go 30 and 10 (3kd). This is what I think combat rating is...maybe a scale of average points. Big difference between a person who scores 3400 points in a clash match and one who scores 600.

126.63, wondering wondering. Maybe it's bracketing o.O like 1.0-1.99,2.0-2.99,...,121.0-121.99,122.0-122.99...the sets go on

I'm at 118, assume it's a mixture of k/d and assists as I have a fairly good k/d

So for those who aren't aware the "combat rating" is found on the crucible stat of your guardians page. Based on myself and my friends who I have seen in combat (along with their own K/D ratio) and I believe it to be similar to other halo games rating system (which would use your actions and how effective they are/aren't). However this game seems to use 100.00 (after the game has been released for a week) as the average base (the higher the better). The relevance would be to compare ones stat (K/D ratio or Combat Rating) and should one be the same the other can help determine the difference. K/D is the same? combat ratio shows who does it better. "CR" is the same? K/D ratio shows the higher K/D needs to "step it up" or stop getting lucky, because the lower K/D is showing the same amount of skill. Sorry for the very late response, i only just noticed the CR and i wanted to find out/ inform myself or others. Please correct if wrong.

Where is this stat on mobile?

Well, they definitely aren't trying to lose focus on your K/D. Instead of giving you the amount of deaths you had at the end of a game, they go ahead and spell out your K/D for you for everyone to see. I personally haven't heard of this skill rating your referring to... But it reminds me of reachs BPR
