They're both incredibly important.

Edited by CK97: 7/11/2014 2:47:18 PMRemember how you used Grass Knot on my Gastrodon? If you had 31 IVs in Sp. Attack and Protean, you could have EASILY done 85-100% damage compared to the 45% that you did without them. That's how important IVs are.
-
I was only asking because I'm breeding a ralts in white 2 because that's the only way gardevior can get hyper voice. I don't have a good way to ensure I get good IVs in this game. Also for a mega gardevior with most likely poor IVs, should I go for timid nature or modest?
-
I run Timid, but I've seen people argue for Modest. What I would do is go to the OU chatroom on pokemonshowdown.com and see what the majority says.
-
EVs and Nature are more important, howev IVs can make the difference, now that EVs and Nature are extremely easy to control in X/Y.
-
Thanks for the input, but I'm breeding a hyper voice ralts in black 2, so I basically have to rely on luck for good IV's, that's why I was asking For a special sweeper mega gardevior, would you recommend timid nature (+speed, -atk) or whatever nature is (+sp. atk, -atk) modest I think?
-
I prefer Timid but I'm weird. Most people would go with Modest.
-
Edited by Tyger: 7/11/2014 5:24:12 PMI was leaning towards timid because that extra speed could make the difference between getting an attack off or not(especially when I don't have high speed IVs), and mega-gardeviors hyper voice is already insanely powerful
-
That's why I'd go with Timid but 10% is a lot.
-
So should I go timid 252 sp atk, 252 speed, and 4 umm somewhere else? I plan on running hyper voice, psychic, and focus blast. Unsure on my fourth move. I don't plan on doing tournaments or anything just want a strong mega gardevior
-
Shadow Ball, Hyper Voice, Focus Blast, and Psyshock is what I run.
-
Sweet thanks
-
Yeah. Maybe Dazzling Gleam or Moonblast for STAB.
-
Hyper voice is the most powerful STAB move mega gardevoir gets because it's ability multiplies normal type moves base power by 1.3 then turns them into fairy type.
-
Oh right. I forgot it has pixelate or whatev the ability is. It's one of the mega evos I don't normally deal with much. You seem to know what you're doing. Just throw any sp. Atk move that gives more type advantage.
