Return of the original quote format?
Posted by: Bungie Sam I prefer quotes that look like this. Surely there's a simple script to do this?
One obvious reason for the removal of the original quoting format might be that more data is being stored. Aesthetics versus Memory.
Potatoes.
Bland. Who said that?
Posted by: Bungie Sam Potatoes.
Informative. Apparently Bungie Sam said that. Of course, quotes can be forged. For example (The following quote was forged. Achronos did not actually say this):
Posted by: Achronos Something, something and so on. Hello! Potatoes!
That can be done with the current quotes anyway, but users are not involved so perhaps the forced anonymity of the quotes is safer.
Something, something and so on. Hello! Potatoes!
EDIT: If you provide a permalink, one can check if the quote is genuine;
Posted by: Bungie Sam (@) I really need to learn how to interact with websites programmatically. Right now I can only grab data from websites through a Windows form app that utilizes a browser.
