The abbreviation is pronounced different from my full name. Smiggles is like wiggles.
Smi was made because of halo actually. I had my clan tag as SMIG but randoms called me SMG. So I changed it to SMI. Which later became SMEE so it's easier on the eyes for my mates to read in the heat of battle.
